What public means
The folder is public, like the site made from it.
| Do | Don't |
| Keep drafts in another folder until they're ready | Park a draft in the site's folder |
| Empty the trash of anything that never belonged | Trust the trash to hide things |
| Share the folder as Viewer | Give the link edit rights |
Everything in the folder is on the site. That is the point, and the one rule to remember.
The site doesn't lead back to the folder, unless its theme chooses to, as this one does on every page. Image addresses are built from a fingerprint of a file's ID, never the ID itself, so no one can get from an image to the original or to the folder.
A link-shared folder isn't listed anywhere. Search engines don't index it, and its address can't be guessed: only people with the link can open it.
